The Micron was my first hardware synth, and I truly love it. The interface is minimalist but very usable once you learn it. There are a lot of neat shortcuts + 3 encoders that are very easy to assign to parameters. There is also an excellent software editor (though not for free).
I also have the MS2000r which is the Micro Korg with knobs :) But knobs can't save it from being severely limited. Only four notes of polyphony and an extremely limited modulation matrix.
On the other hand, the modulation matrix on the Micron is *extremely* flexible, and in general it has more of everything compared to the Micro Korg.
Oh, and regarding limited interfaces - don't be fooled by "lots of knobs". For example the Access Virus B has lots of knobs - too bad they only cover 50% of the functionality, so you will have to spend a LOT of time clicking menu buttons. No neat shortcuts there..
